Have fun celebrating your special event with friends and family while helping hungry neighbors at the same time. You may host your gathering at one of the Food Bank Centers and ask guests to make a donation in lieu of gifts or in honor of the occasion. Your party can include a volunteer shift, a tour and treats, if you desire. Contact us at email@example.com or 630.443.6910 to get started.
If you don’t want to host your event at the Food Bank, you can still raise funds for hungry neighbors as part of your birthday or special occasion. Set up an online fundraising page and ask your family and friends to donate – remember, every dollar counts! Northern Illinois Food Bank turns every $1 donated into $8 worth of food for a hungry neighbor!
Would you like to be an informed advocate of the Food Bank and make a difference for hungry children and neighbors in your community? Please consider joining the Executive Women’s Council, a dynamic group of women who work in partnership with the Food Bank to help engage other women in the Food Bank’s efforts to solve hunger in Northern Illinois. Council members plan an annual fund raising event – A Cup of Hope – to raise awareness of and funds for child nutrition and other hunger relief programs. For more information about the Council, please contact Anne Moore: Email or call (630) 443-6910 ext. 172

The Food Bank offers logo patches for youth to recognize their efforts in feeding our hungry neighbors. These 2” embroidered patches are $3 each and are a great reminder of your time volunteering, hosting a food drive or learning through an educational activity. Contact the Food Bank at 630.443.6910 or Email to place an order.
Northern Illinois Food Bank is a great option for organizations seeking team-building activities and opportunities to involve their employees or group members in a community service project. Groups will attend a 2-3 hour volunteer shift in the warehouse where they will work together to inspect, sort, label and pack food for distribution to our hungry neighbors.
Many companies also take advantage of our meeting spaces while onsite for their team-building event, or host food and fund drives among their employees prior to the event.
For more information or to request a room, please complete our meeting space interest form. You can contact Jessica Stanley-Asselmeier, Development Officer of Corporate Giving, at 630-443-6910, ext. 129 with additional questions.
