Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
You can make a gift to the Food Bank directly from your DAF. Or, you can request a gift from your fund using our convenient DAF portal. Simply direct your financial institution to send the gift to the Food Bank. Gifts from DAFs will be acknowledged and used as directed by the advisor.
Qualified Charitable Distribution
Ask your IRA administrator about making a direct transfer to Northern Illinois Food Bank or have the administrator send a check from your account to us. Please make sure your administrator indicates your name and designates the donation as an IRA QCD. (Note: To be tax free, the donation must go directly from your account to Northern Illinois Food Bank without passing through your hands.)
Stock Donation
Gifts of stocks and securities are an easy way to make an impact! We accept donations of stock by transfer via the Depository Trust Company (DTC). To ensure a smooth transfer, please contact your broker and advise them of your intent to donate stock to the Northern Illinois Food Bank Giving Account at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Your broker can contact Gina Gramarosso at (630) 443-6910 ext. 130 for DTC and account information. Please notify Gina when you make the transfer.
Estate Gift
Tomorrow’s Harvest is the Food Bank’s legacy society. By joining Tomorrow’s Harvest, your gift creates a legacy of hope to ensure that tomorrow’s families in need will not go hungry.
