Points of Service (POS) must be completed during every meal service. While we are continuously  encouraging programs to switch to Meal Tracker, the electronic POS system for daily counts, we understand sometimes things happen and paper counts must be used during meal service.

During every meal service, both the USDA “and Justice for All” poster and the “CACFP Building for a Better Future” brochure must be displayed and visible in a prominent place. The USDA poster must be the official poster provided to site staff at the beginning of the program year, however additional copies can be downloaded by clicking on the images below. The Building for a Better future brochure must also be posted during meal service to provide additional information to interested parties during meal service.

AND Justice For ALL

manualAll programs are required to send at least one staff person to an annual in person training at the start of each program year. The Child and Adult Care Food Program is a USDA funded program that requires staff to follow many rules. To view and refresh staff on these rules and requirements, Northern Illinois Food Bank has created a program manual for staff to have all this information in one spot!
