Disney On Ice Food Drive
The Northern Illinois Food Bank is joining with DuPage Children’s Museum and the all-new Disney On Ice skating spectacular, Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream, scheduled to open in the Chicago area later this month, to encourage local families to help feed hungry neighbors during its “Ice Out Hunger” food drive.
Anyone who drops off specified, non-perishable food items by Feb. 1 to DuPage Children’s Museum, 301 N. Washington Street, Naperville, Ill., will be eligible to register to win a complimentary family four-pack of tickets to a United Center performance of Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream. Needed donations include peanut butter, whole grain pasta, rice, whole grain cereal, canned chicken and tuna, dried beans, canned fruits (preferably in own juice), canned vegetables, reduced-sodium soup, and pasta sauce (in plastic jars or cans). No glass containers, please.
Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream, opens at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., Jan. 25-29. It then moves to Chicago’s United Center, Feb. 1-12. For additional information, log on to www.disneyonice.com.
